BIOGRAPHYMr. Alexander Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie, popularly called Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie is a Nigerian writer and historian who hails from Nkarahia village in Isiokpo community, Ikwerre land, Rivers State of Nigeria, West Africa. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie was born on the day of December, 24 in the year of 1971 to the late Elder Godson Azubuike Ekwesi Tasie who is his father and Madam Chinerezi Florence Tasie, who is his mother.
His father, a well-recognized Ikwerre traditional hunter hailed from Nkarahia village in Isiokpo community and his mother hails from Umuokwanoro, Obeakpu, Umunoha, Mbaitolu Local Government Area of Imo State. Mr. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie was born into a very lowly family and suffered many setbacks in life because of his family background.

Mr. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie attended several primary schools for his primary school education like, Ogbodo Primary School, Ogbodo Isiokpo in Ikwere Local Government Area of Rivers State; the famous Sacred Hearts Primary School, Iloabuchi, Diobu, Port Harcourt; Obeakpu Primary School, Obeakpu, Umonoha, Mbaitolu Local Government Area of Imo State and Umunoha Central Primary School, Umunoha, Mbaitolu Local Government Area of Imo State. For his secondary school education, Mr. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie attended also several secondary schools like Afara Community Secondary School, Afara in Mbaitolu Local Government Area of Imo State; Eneka Secondary School, Eneka in Obio/Akpor Local Govewrnment Area of Rivers State; Government Secondary School, Emohua in Emohua Local Governemt Area of Rivers State and finally at Government Secondary School, Isiokpo in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
For his higher education, Mr. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie attended Lagos State Aviation and Maritime Business (LAMB) Academy for an Ordinary Higher Diploma (OND) and studies ……..; Temple Gate Polytechnic, Osisioma, Aba, Abia State for his Ordinary Higher Diploma and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Public Administration. Mr. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie is currently studying Public Administration in one of the Nigerian universities for his Master’s Degree. CAREER AND CREATIVITYMr. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie is a professional historian that majors in Ikwerre history and culture. From the year 2004, Mr. Alexbrirish as he is fondly called began to undertake historical studies of his Ikwerre people.
Most of what he had excavated concerning his Isiokpo and Ikwerre people are vividly captured in some of his history books that discuss Isiokpo and Ikwerre people like IKWERRELAND:HISTORY, CULTURE AND PEOPLE, published in the year 2008; “IKWERRELAND:MILESTONES IN CIVILIZATION AND DEVELOPMENT”, published in the year 2011 and “THE HISTORY OF ISIOKPO ANCIENT KINGDOM (A HISTORICAL, LOGICAL AND ANALYTICAL STUDY OF ISIOKPO PEOPLE”), published in the year 2022. Some of his books, especially the ones that generally talk about the people of Ikwerre land have been used in the university to teach university students.
Mr. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie has also published other history books like “AFRICA AND WESTERN EXPERIENCE”, a book that amply studies the African people, their challenges and their prospects, published in the year 2015 and “HIGH CHIEF JAMES AMADI JP AND THE STORIES OF OMUAHIAM IN OMAGWA COMMUNITY”, published in the year 2006. Mr. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie is also a creative writer, especially with strong flair in crime-fiction story-telling. Mr. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie is unarguably one of the most gifted writers to come from Africa. His three novels, “THE WRONG MAN IN HONG KONG”, published in the year 2010, “THE DANCE OF A DICTATOR”, published in the year 2013 and “THE DEVIL’S HAND BAG”, published in the year of 1992 are testaments to his creativity
At the moment, Mr. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie has authored about ten books and is till writing. Mr. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie is also a musician, especially in the area of Reggae Music.
In the year 2012, he produced a music album of about twenty tracks. The title of the album is “MY STORY”. The songs did not go far because of the level of the production. At least some of his songs are on the YouTube channel and other online music platforms.
Mr. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi-Tasie is also a filmmaker. In the year 2003, he became the first Ikwerre person to have made a home video and the casts of the movie were local Ikwerre people and the movie titled “OMENALI”. He is also a football coach. In the year 1997, he floated a football club in the area called Ajelogo in Mile 12, Lagos State called Ajelogo United.
In the year 2002, he coached his village football club and won silver in his Isiokpo community football competition. In the year 2003 he led a village called Omuohia in Igwuruta as a football coach to their first ever finals in that year’s Igwuruta community football competition and won gold. He has also coached some other small amateur football clubs. He is also a content creator on Facebook and YouTube, especially in the area of Ikwerre history and culture and is a well-recognized Facebook content creator.
In fact most of what he has done in the area of history; especially Ikwerre history and culture are available in quantum on the YouTube channel.FAMILY LIFEr. Alexbritish Chinedu Ekwesi- Tasie is a family man. In the year 2013, he married Mrs. Ifeoma Nancy Ekwesi Tasie and they have five children, four males and two females called in the other of their seniority, Master Chinedu MauriceGreen Ekwesi-Tasie, Master Achinike Armstrong Ekwesi-Tasie, Master Wenenda Edison EkwesiTasie, Miss Adaeze Violet Ekwesi-Tasie, Miss Chikaru-Ola Ekwesi-Tasie and Master Chigweyaru Alexander Ekwesi-Tasie.
